How we started this thing.
Our advisory partners are a group of experienced, licensed therapists approved as supervisors in states throughout the US. After years in the field, we realized each state has very different, and often inadequate, (read that as “totally ridiculous”) ways of sharing lists of supervisors with supervision-seekers. We found ourselves listening to lots of stories (and complaints) about this issue in supervision sessions and at conferences, and no one was fixing the problem. This is one of Dr. Parks’ BIGGEST pet peeves (you know, when people complain about something with no solution in sight).
So we decided to fix it ourselves. We aren’t membership people or marketers or even all that great at this copy-writing thing. But the thing we DO know is that we can help the future of the mental health profession by providing a one-stop shop for finding supervision.

Meet Dr. Amy Parks, the force behind the Clinical Supervision Directory. With more than 30 years of experience in child and adolescent development, Dr. Parks has dedicated her career to supporting mental health professionals in their growth. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology with a focus on developmental neuroscience, and has long been recognized as a leader in clinical supervision.
As the founder of the Clinical Supervision Directory, Dr. Parks is passionate about creating connections—linking supervisors and supervisees nationwide to strengthen the field of mental health. She is also the host and founder of the Supervision Simplified podcast, where she shares practical insights and conversations to empower supervisors and clinicians at every stage of their careers.
In addition, she leads Hey Doctor Amy, as a solo practitioner in Virginia, serves as a nationally accredited clinical supervisor, and teaches as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. A frequent international speaker and soon-to-be author, Dr. Parks is committed to advancing best practices in supervision.
When she’s not championing professional development, you can find her enjoying teen fiction, exploring new foods, or relaxing with friends on the water.

Ma. Lourdes Parra, we call her “Odette”, is our Canva Graphic Designer at the CSD. Aside from designing creative content for online campaigns, digital and prints, she also contributes to growing our social media following and oversees in making sure our content plan is on schedule. She highly appreciates other forms of arts such as music, concert, video production and the likes.Odette is an Industrial Engineer by profession but graphic design is what she really loves to do.
Though her graphic design journey also started at the birth of CSD, she’s so grateful for Dr. Amy Parks and the team for trusting her skills and capability. As she grows with the CSD, her loyalty and love for the team grows stronger too.

Amy Sosa is our Chief Operating Officer at the CSD. She is a mom to three beautiful children and is proficient in Spanish. She loves photography, traveling and reading in her spare time. As “the other Amy”, she keeps our directory running smoothly. We couldn’t do the work we do for the supervision and mental health community without her!
Amy Sosa graduated summa cum laude with a B.S.B.A. in Marketing with a concentration in International Business from Appalachian State University. With a strong background in marketing and administrative support, Amy has gained experience working in mental health, radio, education, and the sign and graphics industries.
