This engaging and thought-provoking ethics session will:

  1. Define self-disclosure and countertransference in the therapeutic relationship.
  2. Examine some of the related research.
  3. Offer a model for ethically handing

Attendees will:

  1. Explore the impact of self-disclosure and which kind of therapist is more likely to share.
  2. Examine links to therapist self-disclosure and 5 factors of countertransference will be made.
  3. Discuss a practical 6-step structure for handling these sticky ethical situations.

CE provided by: The Clinical Supervision Directory, co-sponsored by Central Counseling Services (approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs.), CEPA provider number 128357.
