Khadijah T Washington is a licensed therapist in Virginia and Maryland with over 15 years of experience working in trauma, emotional authenticity, relationship reimagining and health and self-healing modalities. In 2020, she published her memoir, REAL Radical Empathic Acceptance of Life, where she shares her experience around trauma, loss, and healing. Khadijah and her company offer mental health and substance use disorder consultation with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, state agencies, colleges and universities.

One of Ms. Duez’s notable contributions is her emphasis on trauma-informed care principles. She believes in implementing these principles both at the organizational level by training staff and at the individual level by employing therapists who practice trauma-informed care. Her involvement in trauma-informed programs and grants in Virginia demonstrates her dedication to improving mental health care in her community.
As the founder of Turning Point Counseling and Consulting, Ms. Duez has built a group practice with a significant number of therapists, aiming to provide access to trauma-informed care.
