In my training “Ethics & Compliance: Everyone’s Job – Navigating our ethical responsibilities with confidence” you will gain valuable and tangible takeaways to implement into your everyday practice.

Decision making and doing the right thing, do not have to be stressful or difficult. Learn streamlined, simple ways to handle common ethical dilemmas like dual relationships, no shows and missed appointment fees, and knowing when to refer out.

The purpose of this presentation is to enhance the attendee’s knowledge base, confidence, and experience with managing everyday ethical dilemmas and decisions in the counseling practice setting.

Attendees will:

1. Learn simple ways to enforce missed appointment fees while balancing the delicate therapeutic relationship with the client and ethical responsibility to help the client work towards success.
2. Gain simple decision-making skills and techniques to help increase confidence when navigating difficult decisions surrounding common counseling situations like terminations, referrals, and dual relationships.
3. Participate in interactive real life case study examples to problem solve using skills learned.

About the Trainer:

Alycia is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twelve years of experience providing direct patient care to adults, adolescents, children, and families. Alycia is a Certified Integrative Medicine for Mental Health professional. She is an experienced independent business owner with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. She is a strong entrepreneurship professional with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech, a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the American Psychological Association accredited Argosy University School of Professional Psychology and completed her Post Master’s Certification in School Counseling at University of South Florida. Alycia is also an approved Board-Certified Clinical Supervisor. She currently is the founder, owner, therapist, and supervisor at Healthy Minds Therapy, a large group practice in Northern Virginia. She is also a wife and mom of two!
