July marks the CSD’s 2nd anniversary and we’re just getting started! We’re so proud and privileged to promote all the therapists, social workers, and supervisors making strides toward improving well-being and mental health throughout the country.
Our latest CSD Member Spotlight highlights Emily Krause, an LMHC and ACS certified to practice in Massachusetts and New Jersey. She’s super passionate about supervision and views it as a meaningful collaboration where both parties can learn and lean on one another. Emily helps aspiring counselors become licensed and many of her supervision subjects are enrolled in esteemed Clinical Master’s programs at institutions including NYU, Penn, and Rutgers.
Emily feels the supervision process is very productive and beneficial for her own client sessions. Covering core issues like addiction, trauma, relationships, and personality disorders, she demonstrates ways to implement tools and techniques tailored to each problem and particular patient. Her goal is to prepare each trainee to “build better rapport, conceptualizing their individualized perspectives and needs, and applying effective techniques towards more meaningful client outcomes, acknowledging their uniqueness and authenticity.”
With more than fifteen years in the field, she’s worked in private practices (The Therapy Room in Boston, and Hudson River Care & Counseling in Hoboken) and within social services providing case management to clients while valuing wellness and spirituality in her counseling work.
