Integrity and confidence are the foundation of providing quality and consistent counseling services. Ethical guidelines provide scaffolding to deliver effective and sound sessions. In my training “Ethics & Compliance: Everyone’s Job – Navigating our ethical responsibilities with confidence” you will gain valuable and tangible takeaways to implement into your everyday practice.

Decision making and doing the right thing, do not have to be stressful or difficult. Learn streamlined, simple ways to handle common ethical dilemmas like dual relationships, no shows and missed appointment fees, and knowing when to refer out.

The purpose of this presentation is to enhance the attendee’s knowledge base, confidence, and experience with managing everyday ethical dilemmas and decisions in the counseling practice setting.

Attendees will:

  1. Learn simple ways to enforce missed appointment fees while balancing the delicate therapeutic relationship with the client and ethical responsibility to help the client work towards success.
  2. Gain simple decision-making skills and techniques to help increase confidence when navigating difficult decisions surrounding common counseling situations like terminations, referrals, and dual relationships.
  3. Participate in interactive real life case study examples to problem solve using skills learned.
